Came in here for a late lunch around 3 pm. Getting here was a little bit of a mess since I missed my exit and that inevitably led me to an added detour of 15 minutes. If I wasn't meeting a friend for lunch, I would have given up on coming here afterward. Google Maps sent me around the block thinking the location was in the back alley, so be careful it is in fact in front in the plaza near the El Pollo Loco.
Parking was a breeze since there was plenty of space! The restaurant is on the smaller size, which made it a little hard to miss but once inside it was fine! Since we came at a weird time for lunch (3:45 pm) there was no one inside and we were able to get our food relatively quickly. I ordered the Red Chicken Curry extra hot with a side of rice. I personally love spicy food and although I ordered hot, I still scooped in an extra 6-7 scoops of their table chili sauce to add extra heat. The red curry was a little thinner than I would have liked however they were able to pack some pretty good flavors in it. I could taste the coconut milk inside and loved that I could still see some flakes sprinkled on top. I love eating the ginger cuts in a red curry and loved how they placed them on top of the dish almost like a garnish. The rice was a little dryer than I would have liked but after being dipped in the broth was not an issue.
Overall, I would recommend this place if you are in the area and highly recommend being careful If you are using google maps to get here since I was extremely lost. -

RUDE RUDE RUDE!!! Ordered thru Grubhub but needed to add to order so I called restaurant. They told me I could just add it to the card. I said okay.
The delivery guy did NOT come to the door, instead he stopped his car curb side, called me and had me come outside. THEN he said had to pay cash for what I had ordered to the order.
Delivery guy was yelling at me in Thai or whatever language about needing cash and not coming to the door.
Food was lukewarm and tasted like it had been sitting out. -

This place is ok.
The price for food is to high. That's way they get 3 star rating but the food is good. Not great or bad.
If u want Thai food try them out. You won't be bummed. The restaurant is small and lots of parking. They do have odd hours so check that out before you drive in. Another reason for the 3 stars.
And the curry soaps just don't have enough flavor. But try them out and let me know. And I do order from them at least 4 times a year.

Thanks to the wonders of Grubhub I was able to enjoy a delightful bowl of their Yellow Curry with Chicken! The curry soup was delightful, a perfect combination of savory and sweetness, the chicken was cut into thin slivers so it is easy to eat - almost bite site, a generous amount of carrots and potatoes was nicely tenderized in this dish, it is tender but not mushy. It is a nice bowl of goodness that will sure warm your tummy especially in these cool February days.
I also ordered their calamari which is REALLY good, if there is one complaint I have about it is that the serving seems smaller than the usual serving I get from other restaurants BUT nevertheless - it was delicious!
Overall, I really like their dish, can't say much about the place since I have not been here but to speak about their food - it is A-Ok!
Cheers! -

One of my favorite Thai places in the area! I work in an office down the street and we often struggle to figure out what's for lunch. But Thai Silk has become one our favorites in Boyle Heights. The menu is pretty traditional with curries and wok style fried rice noodles. I actually really adore their tom yum noodle soup, which has the deepest flavors of lemon and chili's and generous amounts of ground pork. The pad thai and pad see yew are other great options for fried noodles. If you are looking for appetizers the glass noodle salad is super flavorful and the fried calamari just gives a great crunch to accompany your meal
*order early, they get packed
*they do deliver, but tends to take double of the time, so definitely recommend picking up if you're nearby
